This year sees Kingfisher offering dedicated Gymnastics Workshops in the Summer holidays. You can choose between full days or half days!
Workshops will take place on Monday 8th August, Tuesday 9th August and Wednesday 10th August 2022. The times of the full days are 10am – 3:30pm (free supervised lunch break), half days are 10am – 12:30pm and 1pm – 3:30pm (see below for table and prices).
Ages
The workshops are open to children 5yrs – 14yrs. The Gymnasts will be separated in the following age groups, 5yrs – 9yrs and 10yrs – 14yrs. The two age groups will not train together due to the difference in their training regime.
Staff
These exclusive sessions will be headed by our very own Women’s Artistic – Level 4 – Performance coach ‘Michelle’
Michelle and her highly experienced British Gymnastics qualified staff (Luke & Koti – both Level 2 Coaches) will be coaching the Gymnasts on the full Olympic apparatus – Bars, Beam, Floor, Vault as well as Trampette, Inflatable tumble tracks, Air barrels and our impressive 15m ‘Beast’ of a tumble track.
Structure
We will be focusing on coaching moves that we don’t normally have time to spend on within our weekly sessions, as well as working on flexibility, strength and choreography.
Our workshops focus on reaching each individuals goals which is why we limit our numbers and don’t just ‘pack em in’ to get the numbers in the door like some of our competitors. Our work ethic is to charge a little bit more than our competitors and keep numbers very low, ensuring each child ‘has a voice’ and are motivated by our coaches to develop a passion to become better at the sport they love.
We look at 6:1 ratios in our groups in order to get results out of each individual, we are not just about ‘childcare’ and filling time with games and other ‘filler’ activities, we are all about training and motivating to enable your child to experience success and achievement through actual gymnastics.
Our highly motivated coaches will make it their mission to support and enable your child to reach their goals. That move they have always wanted to do, whether it’s a cartwheel or a flic, somersault, whipback connection, we will endeavour to make it happen. Whilst we are more focused on gymnastics skills as opposed to just filler, we will ensure that the gymnasts will have plenty of fun through exciting and tailored setups, both individual and group activities, the occasional gymnastics game or handstand competition with prizes!
As we are offering specialist sports workshops we are not considered ‘childcare’ nor are we ofsted-registered, which unfortunately means you cannot use ‘childcare’ vouchers at Kingfisher Gymnastics Club.
Booking
As stated earlier we have very limited spaces and will only take the first 18 per morning / afternoon session (18 only for the whole day). Please book at your earliest convenience so that your child will not be disappointed by missing out on our very unique Gymnastics Workshops. They are few and far between, but will arrange future workshops if there is enough demand.

If you book a third session, it will be at a further 10% reduction! Just choose your dates and email us on help@kingfishergym.club to book your place(s). If you are already in our GoCardless system we can simply take payment once you confirm your selected dates/times. If you are new to the club, we will advise you on how to make payment.
The 10% discount is only available until Monday 25th July 2022
You can mix and match the half day sessions! They don’t have to be on the same day to enjoy the discount!
